Librarians Sally Stieglitz and Kristen Nyitray win grant for World War I Centennial programming

Sally Stieglitz and Kristen Nyitray, librarians at Stony Brook University Libraries, have been selected by the Library of America as recipients of a grant for programming marking the upcoming centennial of the First World War. World War I and America is a two year initiative of the Library of America made possible, in part, by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Through the grant funding, the Libraries will organize programming in Fall 2017 that hosts public events to bring veterans and their families together with the general public for programs of readings and speakers that highlight humanities themes of the Great War.
