Would probably be quite difficult to locate, a problem that SBU Libraries has got covered! If you need to research federal or state legislation or judicial cases, it’s important to know an official name as well as a popular name. For instance, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is more popularly known as Obamacare. Thanks to the resources at SBU Libraries, you can easily search for cases and laws by their popular names by consulting one of our trusty reference resources known as Shepard’s Acts and Cases by Popular Names. This book is always available from the Reference Desk Collection in the Central Reading Room of the Melville Library and our reference team will happily help you locate the book and show you how to use it.
