Green Open Access

Open Access is the free, unrestricted sharing of scholarly articles and other works online.  Open Access removes access barriers making research and scholarship available to all.

On February 6,2017, Stony Brook University Senate adopted an Open Access Policy for SBU authors.  The SBU Policy is a Green Open Access initiative; SBU authors deposit post-review accepted manuscripts of their scholarly articles into the SBU open access scholarly repository, Academic Commons.
