Prize-winning journalist, author, and historian Bill Bleyer presented “Long Island Naval History in Wartime, with an emphasis on World War I” on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Special guests in attendance included residents of the Long Island State Veterans Home, Stony Brook, NY.

 

This program was part of New York Archives Week and World War I and America, a two-year national initiative of The Library of America presented in partnership with The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and other organizations, with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities.
