Search Example: The Detailed Record
Clicking on the article title brings you to the detailed record. The detailed record provides additional information about the article that helps determine whether or not it is useful for your assignment.
Subject terms, also known as subject headings, tell you what the article is about. Evaluating the terms listed lets you confirm that the article is about what you think it is. Remember, article titles can sometimes be misleading.
An abstract is a short summary of the article. Reading it will give you a good idea of what the article is about, without having to read the entire article. This is especially helpful with articles that are over 5 pages long.
